Not the best

Pros:
At the time the rent seemed like a good value & location. Laundry nearby, close walk fo L, coffee shops, restaurants & shopping nearby.
Large closets. Cute layout.
Cons:
Bathroom was outside of the top floor apartment which ended up being a safety issue. The landlord opened it while I was in the shower because he was concerned. He didn’t announce himself so it was unnerving & I moved out shortly thereafter.
Roaches were pretty common despite my frequent cleaning. They seemed to come from the hallway that was covered in worn out carpet. The backyard was very overgrown so that also could have been causing some of the pest issues.
Leak from the roof ruined my mattress but the landlord did reimburse me with a rent reduction for the next month.
Landlord wouldn’t allow my boyfriend to visit though I told him he could increase my monthly heat/water bill if he wanted to. He also told me I could add my boyfriend to the lease. It was strange. I didn’t stay long.
Advice to owner:
See above. Could be a nice place to live but needs maintenance.
