Landlord steals security deposits
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location location location
Cons:
Owner was not responsive, stole our security deposit after leaving the apartment in pristine condition, professionally cleaned. Ghosted us, so we took him to small claims court and won. He, still didn’t pay us, so we had to hire a city marshal to seize the funds from his accounts
Advice to owner:
Do better

Old but cute
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good natural light in the bedrooms. Good water pressure. Decorative fireplace/mantle. Location is good.
Cons:
Heat is 100 degrees all winter, radiators at full blast and you can’t control the temperature within the apartment so you have to have all the windows open, but there is a lot of street noise.

Great location but terrible
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is in a great location had a backyard which is nice. Rent was cheap
Cons:
There’s a bunch of guys that like to spend their days smoking weed and talking about their days in prison on the stoop of the apartment next to it. They are super loud and don’t care about anyone’s right to privacy or right to live in peace. Worst is when dominoes season love to hear those guys argue really loudly about cheating one another. Bunch of incels that like to hang around other peoples apartments. Management is hardly responsive and the electricity/plumbing is outdated there have been a ton of issues. Also periodically there are roaches and rats in the building management has ordered exterminators to deal with it.
