Management completely ignores maintenance requests and safety violations
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nothing. Just nothing.
Cons:
Management ignores maintenance requests. Front door left wide open for package/property thefts. Only one washer and dryer for entire building. Apartments are too expensive for being no-frills (walk-up, small kitchen, no dishwasher, no microwave, no linen closets, no utilities included, very small rooms, not even a medicine cabinet in the bathroom. The "balcony" is a fire escape). Management tried to put all kinds of illegal stuff in our lease but thankfully they got tenants who know how to read and know the law.
Advice to owner:
Do your job

Greedy managment. Don’t live here.
Former Tenant
Pros:
There’s not much. That’s why I left after 1 year
Cons:
Management raised the rent by $100 AFTER we put down deposit. Also got a warning email from previous tenants that this management tried to hold on to deposit with minor scratches. This management pulled this on us as well. When in fact, they did not provided the place with repainted walls and wasn’t move in ready. And still tried to make money off of us for damages we did not make.
Advice to owner:
Just live a honest life. You’ll go to hell being greedy like that.

Horrible Landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nothing. Imma gtfo of here.
Cons:
This building’s landlord (Mr.Gold) has been nominated as one of the top worst 100 landlords in NYC. Mailbox has been broken since I moved in and despite numerous calls and emails, it has not been fixed even after a year. I have missed important mails such as license and credit cards. I had to go to the local USPS office which is another hellhole. Also he even raised rent AFTER we put our deposit down which is unprecedented. Tenants before us kindly warned us about the landlord because he was trying to steal their deposits when they moved out. It’s super cold in the winter and hot during Summer. Horrible super with attitude and management who will ignore your emails. And you can hear your neighbors talking in their living room as if they are in your living room.
Advice to owner:
Stop being cheap and trying to get money out of tenants.
