Impossible to contact the landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Hard to find something positive to say. Lots of space for the price but that comes at a cost.
Cons:
Super loud parking lot behind the building. Landlord does not answer emails and receptionists say you’ll be called back and you never are, no matter how many times you call.
Advice to owner:
Please be more accessible.

Nice but loud
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice building with a roof. If you're on the second floor back you get a massive private deck that is a HUGE plus. All the appliances are new and 2/3 rooms have great light.
Cons:
It was incredibly cheaply built. The walls are paper thin so you can hear your downstairs and upstairs neighbors easily. Though they're not very bad. The biggest problem is the club next door which makes sleeping unbearable on the weekends. Also because the walls are so thin, heat is easily lost so you end up blasting your unit all winter giving a very high electric bill.
Advice to owner:
Sound proof your building.

Typical NYC Slumlords
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is pretty clean & in decent condition. Laundry in the basement is also super convenient
Cons:
Good luck getting a resolution from management. We had broken heat and it took over a month to resolve when they were legally required to provide it during the winter.
Advice to owner:
Get your *** together & respect your tenants.

Missed the location, hated the building
Former Tenant
Pros:
I like that the appliances were new and that the repairman was very calm and helpful
Cons:
The fact that there is a loud club next door, they play music Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I made multiple complaints to 311 and nothing was done.
Advice to owner:
Have better handling on garbage.

Good bang for your buck
Former Tenant
Pros:
Affordable, has a private roof deck, central AC
Cons:
Doesn’t have great security (had packages stolen over the years of living here)
Advice to owner:
Invest in security cameras
