Close to train but full of Pain
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to L train.
Cons:
The club downstairs music is loud through the walls and on the street. The front and back of the building isn’t insulated so you hear and feel everything. Mold in basement, broken stairs. Roaches, ants and gnats are common because of the water and debris in basement. Owner is cheap and miserable who also lives on site, constant unfinished construction projects, smaller bathrooms than an airplane, undersized shower, dust and debris in hall and comes down where the pipe seams are. Owner does not believe in tenant rights just believes it’s “his building” Doesn’t do ANYTHING by the book. No garbage cans outside so garbage builds up in apartment.
Advice to owner:
I think the above says enough. It’s your building but tenants have rights. Learn how to do paperwork and online banking. Owners are required to put things like desired maintenance into writing with ample time, finish your projects don’t start ten and finish 1.
