You’ll Never Get Your Deposit Back..
Former Tenant
Pros:
I lived here for a few years.
I liked the location, 8 min to the L, and that I only had 3 neighbors. It had great light for a railroad, at least on my side of the building.
Cons:
The owner is a nightmare. She does not listen, only yells, rarely responds to calls/texts.
Plan on taking care of anything busted yourself. When we moved in, our refrigerator ROLLED thru the kitchen due to the lop sided floor. I had to put a 2x4 under the fridge to keep it in place. When we moved out, we left our place absolutely SPOTLESS with zero damage, sealed nail holes, etc. and we never saw our deposit back.
Our neighbors were also moving out at the same time, I saw their empty apartment and it too, was nice and clean. They did not get their deposit back either. The landlord just keeps deposits, no explanation.

And she never cleaned the disgusting hallway or fixed the busted mailboxes.

You can’t get fed ex or Ups packages. No access.

Knickerbocker Ave is LOUD. Big MAC trucks hitting potholes and horns will wake you early in the am, kids throwing up in trash cans, bar fights, loud street music.
