Horrible Management and Roaches
Former Tenant
Pros:
central heat and AC never failed
Cons:
unresponsive management that did not pay electric for the building (ie. hallway/electric doorbell)
washer constantly broken
roaches everywhere and no pest control visits

Do not move here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Affordable, good neighborhood/close to M/J and L
Cons:
The owner does not care about this building at all. There is mold in the pipes that does not go away, no matter how many times we treat it, the problem is so wide spread and in all the apartments. Pest are not common but not well managed either, have seen house centipedes in the apartment and hallways. Moving into the apartment, it was dirty and gross, the tenants before left it a wreck and management did not care. You can hear everything, being so close to KeyBar, you will be able to hear the music and what your neighbors are up to. The insulation is bad, having big windows is great for natural light but horrible in the winter cold. For over a month the front door to the building was broken and it wasn’t until someone threaten to report, did they finally fix it, literally the door couldn’t close and the handle kept coming right off. II know it might seem worth it for rent on the cheaper side but this place is a mess.
Advice to owner:
Fix the mold problem. Seriously. You already have enough lawsuits on your hands.

Doesn’t care about noise complaints (outdoor or indoor neighbors)
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s across from a bodega?
Cons:
Where do I start:

- We know the neighbors in our building and we get ripped off for our apartment.
- the first floor people who pay less than us have two full bathrooms and a basement, when we got 1 & a half baths for way more rent.
-No window locks
-Hole behind our toilet per the exterminator
-Our apartment is tilted
-Lots of leaks
-Noise from neighbors roof and bar next door (the landlord hasn’t done anything about it)
-Laundry sucks - it Costs a dollar but the machines are from like 1953 and don’t dry your clothes
- I smell gas in the stove but had someone check - they said it was fine and don’t worry about it
- had a bird stuck in a pipe where we could hear it - the supervisors (child?) come to inspect and he said it was nothing. We later found out it was a bird and we let it out on our own.
Advice to owner:
Lower your rent for the service and treatment the tenants get. Put effort towards the noise issue people complain about constantly.
