not worth it
Former Tenant
Pros:
its obviously a very cool building, the apartments are huge and lovely and get great light
Cons:
I put up with a lot from this landlord over multiple years. he lives on the first floor and has absolutely 0 standards for where he lives. The house has a raging mouse infestation that stems from his unit as well as a pervasive and STRONG cat pee smell. The first floor is filthy. Completely unresponsive to issues: leaks, mice, the literal front door to the building being broken for months. At some points the gate to the building was locked and he refused to give keys to the tenants-- we'd get locked out late at night. the last straw was an electrical fire in his unit that did significant damage to the rest of the house. He did absolutely nothing to fix the damage and even asked us to continue paying rent when there were massive holes in the apartment and no working doors. I moved out before something worse could happen since I have no faith that he'll maintain the building in any meaningful way moving forward.
Advice to owner:
take care of your building :- (
