Love everything but the landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building has been decently renovated (at least on the surface) and the rooms are huge. I love the building/neighbors/location/apartment
Cons:
The landlord is a complete asshole. He changes the rent on a whim, and is totally unresponsive/uncaring to his tenants. The roof has now flooded twice, collapsing the ceiling upstairs and leaking into downstairs, and he just keeps doing inadequate patch work without actually fixing the roof. The maintenance guys are really nice and do what they can but Jeff is so rude to them and prevents them from actually fixing things properly. He also moved new tenants into the basement, which is a totally illegal unit.
Advice to owner:
Treat your tenants like actual humans! We are all great tenants who pay on time, every time, and cause no issues. It could be a really great long-term living situation if just a bit more care was put into things.
