Shitty landlords, rats everywhere
Pros
Location, great rooftop
Cons
-PESTS. I live in the basement and told them 6 months ago that there were rats living in the wall. They claimed to have sent an exterminator. I have since brought up the rats 10 times via email and nothing has been done, I can’t sleep due to the noise (a few emails were strongly worded, and they replied not with solutions but with telling me to watch my tone). Now the last two nights we’ve woken up to rats IN OUR KITCHEN. Calling an exterminator tomorrow bc they can’t be reached at all. -many issues upon moving in (apartment was filthy, broken shower head, landlords never sent cleaning crew as promised, common areas always dirty, oven not working) -landlords not responsive and rude (told them about an emergent issue and gave them multiple times someone could come by to address it in the next two days (all roommates do not work from home and have varying schedules). Landlord called while I was at work and yelled at me for no one being there despite the clear schedule we provided.) -will be out for all Jewish holidays with no response at all. We currently walked into three rats in our kitchen and won’t get a response till Monday -I live in the basement and it is freezing. They have made efforts to address this though
Advice to the owners
Better customer service Take care of the pest issues Be more responive
Not worth it!
Pros
Apartment had a cool kitchen sink and it was nice having laundry in building.
Cons
The fact that the living room was in the kitchen got old real quick. Worst part of my experience living there was the management - rarely ever fixed things in a timely manner and then tried to weasel their way out of returning our security deposit until we threatened legal action.
Advice to the owners
Don’t try to screw people out of their money, especially during a pandemic.
