Avoid at all costs
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is in a prime location in Bushwick and close to trains, bars, restaurants, etc. Bedrooms were very large and the unit had 1.5 bathrooms—rare for a 2 bed.
Cons:
There were nothing but problems from the moment we moved in. The unit was dirty and hadn't been cleaned when we moved in—the whole place was literally covered in dust from construction and workmen had left behind buckets, ladders, and other things and literally nobody ever said anything to us or came back to claim them. The recent "renovations" were shoddy at best and completed by people who clearly did not know what they were doing. Individual heating/AC units in each room were not connected properly to pumps causing severe water leakage which damaged our personal property. They were also all connected to the same electrical circuit as ALL the other lighting in our apartment, resulting in repeated blackouts of the entire unit because the circuit was blown. There was an awful musty smell in the building and unit that I couldn't get rid of no matter what I did. Neighbors that moved in at the same time as me got bed bugs as soon as they moved in—indicating the bugs had been there and never been properly exterminated. The list goes on… Bottom line, when I was moving out, tenants of this building were coordinating with several others in the neighborhood owned by the same management company to file a class action lawsuit because of all the violations.
