Apt. Fine, but location not the best
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator, keyless latch system, option for parking ( extra cost but secure)
Cons:
Location, bottom floor rented out to musicians who play late at night and are noisy. Bathroom is very cold, heaters are very loud.
Advice to owner:
New heating units.

Decent place, noise can be a problem
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location for transit, apartment was in decent shape, no pest problems, garbage chute is nice, parking available (extra fee)
Cons:
There is a rehearsal space for bands in the basement (separate entrance, tenants do not have access). It's marketed as 24/7 no noise curfew. I was on the third floor and could hear some bands very clearly, and they'll sometimes rehearse really late at night. It's not super loud from my apartment but it's definitely very annoying and could keep you awake at night.
If you're on the back side of the building you'll probably also have to deal with a good amount of dog barking, since theres a porch where someone often leaves their 4 or 5 dogs out. Any time someone comes in and out of the parking lot, they will bark. To be fair, in my time here it got better (they used to start howling randomly in the middle of the night) but be aware that this could be a problem.
Advice to owner:
Find a long term solution to the noise from the basement

gentrification in bushwick
Former Tenant
Pros:
rooftop access and quick walk to L train
Cons:
hot water barely works, housless people constantly breaking into the garage and stealing bikes and breaking into cars. Packages consistently stolen from mail room.
Advice to owner:
stop charging an astronomical amount to live in a sad ikea coded "luxury" building.

Fine Enough I Guess
Former Tenant
Pros:
Roof is lovely, elevator (when it works) is very key. Parking lot in the back was nice when we had it. Latch lock system is super nice
Cons:
No central heating - heat is provided through unit you have to pay electricity bill for. Responsiveness from management truly varies, and can often take weeks to respond, if they ever even do. Elevator goes down a bunch, and parking lot has been in various states of construction since Dec 2020. Building is above a music studio, and noise from there travels through the walls & pipes very easily.
Advice to owner:
Respond to your tenant more often

Nice apartment compartment complex & location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator, outdoor access, digital key access, new building
Cons:
Packages sometimes stolen, occasional break in reported. Intercom access/buzzer vandalized and troubling to use
Advice to owner:
Update vestibule locks & clean downstairs intercom

Decent building to live in
Former Tenant
Pros:
Roof is nice, good appliances, clean building, central A/C and heat
Cons:
Laundry was usually not working, management is pretty slow to respond to issues, no on-site super, management took over a month to return security deposit
Advice to owner:
It would be better to have a live-in super than using the maintenance company you have. Also maybe get better laundry machines since they were never working, which was especially annoying when everyone was stuck home during a pandemic

Feels like a school dorm
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to subway station
Cons:
Horrible neighbors, super slim walls and very noisy environment. Feels like college dorm.
Also utilities are way to expensive for apartment size.
Literally the cops went to open the neighbor door at 3-4 am because of his noise, oh and he was a drug dealer.

And the management in general was awful.
Advice to owner:
Improve your walls, fix the doors.
ANSWER the emails!!and select better tenants for your building.

Worthless management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Decent location. The cleaning staff is great.
Cons:
The most unresponsive management I've ever come across. Cayuga Capital did not give us updates about where and when we could receive our unit keys till the day before our move-in date making it extremely difficult to plan our move.

A few months down the line, we had a series of break-ins in the building. Even then, they did not have the decency to respond to emails. A number of tenants tried contacting them. This state of affairs has been going on for months. The front door and garage door are broken now and no one can be bothered fixing them.
Advice to owner:
Hire more people to respond to tenants if your current staff can't handle the work. Your current employees are either incompetent or they don't care. Probably both, come to think of it. Sending out a rent invoice every month seems to be the extent of their ability. Ryan and Kevin, in particular, could very well be brain-dead automatons, considering the number of security-related emails they've ignored. I don't care how many other emails they have to get through. Normal human beings wouldn't ignore tenants who are trying to bring break-ins to their attention. Just set up an automated system to send out the monthly invoice that Ryan mails out every few weeks, if that's the extent of customer service you're aiming for. Should give you some more funds to gobble up real estate and perpetuate this hellish business model. On the other hand, if you want to be decent human beings, read the emails tenants send you, especially if they pertain to security issues. Fix the front door!

Awesome neighbors, terrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The crew that cares for the building -(garbage collection, repairs) are friendly, awesome and helpful.
The rooms are big for the neighborhood and the windows are huge
Carport area
Elevator
Laundry in basement (not free but not overpriced)
Refuse and recycling room on every floor
Really awesome roof with astroturf, tables and chairs, grills
Friendly neighbors
Cons:
Management company completely unresponsive. Multiple thefts of packages, bikes, personal property on over 10 occasions resulted in no footage being handed over to the police (who became involved), a complete blackout on their end with no answer at all.
No working cctv cameras
Door is broken often resulting in thefts
Elevator has gone down for weeks at a time
Rent prices are ridiculous and they will not negotiate
No closest in the entire building at all
Weak security
Advice to owner:
Respond to your tenants when their safety and the safety of their property has been put at risk. Even something as small as a condolence will put them more at ease
Respond to your tenants regarding building maintenance in a more timely manner. The elevator has not been available to the 3rd floor for 8 months and no response.
