Don't move here
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments are large, and so are the cockroaches.
Cons:
The real estate agent will lie to your face about repairs being made and how responsive the landlord is. If you move in, the landlord will ignore your emails. Nothing will get fixed. Look up the building violations, there are 60 active ones. There is lead in the building and it was not disclosed. Constant roach and mice infestations. Illegal gas lines, gas leaks, faulty wiring, and not up to fire code. This place is a death trap and will make you miserable. No mailbox locks (just open mail) and no trash system. I could go on. Just don't move here.
Advice to owner:
Sell the building to someone who either cares enough or is competent to make this place liveable.

Not worth it
Former Tenant
Pros:
Decent apartment size for Brooklyn.
Cons:
Disgusting building. Landlord doesn’t sweep or mop the hallways ever! Dirty sidewalk in front of the building too often. Bugs bugs bugs bugs of all different kinds, we got bug poison and there was still a huge problem. If you don’t have a cat, you will get mice. No bell/ intercoms. Front door to building is left unlocked by landlord family constantly. All mailboxes are broken, no keys to open them, the mailboxes are always open for anyone who wants to look in your mailbox. When we had problems in our apartment, the landlord would promise to fix and never did the whole time we lived in this building. Landlord seems like she doesn’t care about her tenants since she lets them live in these conditions willingly.
Advice to owner:
Fix the building! Charging tenants top dollar for these busted up apartments.
