Freestone Property is Bad
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartment is okay but only because of previous building owners and we have kept it up and maintained most of it ourselves.
Cons:
Building maintenance is severely lacking. Mold, leaks, electrical and security issues. Property management is not responsive and if things are fixed, they are done so poorly that I could have just done it myself. Front door to building does not lock and hasn’t for a while. Laundry has not consistently worked since freestone bought the property. Trash is not properly maintained and building is not clean. Freestone properties is part of an LLC scheme tied to one of the worst property management companies in NYC and part of NYS court cases.
Advice to owner:
Better maintain property and be more responsive.

Stay away from Freestone Properties
Former Tenant
Pros:
apartments were new at one point. Previous owners were pretty hands off until the property was bought by Freestone
Cons:
Building was bought in May of this year and has new management. Laundry room has been shutdown since the new management came in. Garbage piles up outside. There is no super. Getting anything done requires using an app to open a ticket and those go ignored most of the time. They will tell you a date the technician will show, and then send the person a week later without notice. They will then require you to open a new maintenance request because you were unavailable for the surprise visit.
neighbors smoke in backyard everyday so if you have the rear apartment it is impossible to get fresh air or keep your one single window open.
first floor reeks of weed including rear apartment from tenants in 1F smoking inside their apartment and in the backyard.
Advice to owner:
Fix apartment 1R flooding issues. Maintain the property. enforce no smoking in the building because apartment, hallway and backyard constantly smells like marijuana.

One year at 24 Harman
Former Tenant
Pros:
Ceiling yo floor windows Good neighbors Separate a/c units in each room Good super
Cons:
Mice and pest control was not up to par - we had to set our own traps and close up gaps in the walls the owners missed.
Outside noise is a problem - very loud but easy to live with
Advice to owner:
Fix pest control and the laundry room
