okay apt, way too expensive

Pros:
there was a monthly exterminator, and the management was pretty responsive to any problems or things that’s needed fixing.
Cons:
floors in my unit were very slanted and there were lots of cosmetic issues (floor cracks, rickety stairs, door knob troubles) and the price increase was insane for the quality of the building…no amenities

landlords are greedy.

Pros:
located in a very nice and easy to access neighborhood. 5 mins from M train and 15 mins to the L. apartment was clean and very basic.
Cons:
landlord's raised rent for no reason and when my roommate moved out a day late (lease ended midnight the night before and my roommate left 10am the next day.) the landlord's took out $300 from our security deposit and never gave a good reason why. they kept rephrasing that they had to pay the next tenant's movers but when asked to see receipts and further proof of why specifically they were taking $300 out. felt they were taking the money out for no good reason.
Advice to owner:
give us back our $300.

Pros:
Apartment was very affordably priced for the location and size of the bedrooms.
Cons:
We were told there was roof access for the upper floors, but only via a sketchy ladder that’s dangerously close to the stairwell. Bugs in the kitchen. They did get an exterminator to come in regularly but we would still occasionally see roaches on the 2nd floor.
