It's okay
Former Tenant
Pros:
The elevator is great and super convenient. The inside of the apartment is nicer than the outside. The appliances are pretty modern too
Cons:
Maintenance is slow to make repairs. Continued problem with homeless people from the shelter stealing packages out of the lobby
Advice to owner:
If you're gonna raise rents at least improvements to the property

Could be great but is mid bc of management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Friendly super who is very responsive, amenities (in unit W/D, dishwasher, wine cooler)
Cons:
Outside is filled with trash in the halls, roaches, fruit flies, big mold in lobby, leaky roof, generally dirty but could be so much better with routine cleaning

Very Decent
Former Tenant
Pros:
Modern appliances are nice. Apartment is spacious. Super is excellent. Pest control is great, you can leave your name and unit number on a sheet in the lobby and a person will come the first of the month to spray. Units not facing the street are much quieter than those facing Bushwick Ave.
Cons:
Leaky ceilings and windows from time to time, the tenant portal for maintenance is a joke, building as a whole does not retain hot/cold air very well so you will be reliant on AC units/space heaters, in-unit radiators are weirdly very loud when they’re beginning to heat up, management company are douchebags but do not conflate the owners with Rudy is honestly is an amazing super, packages should have their own room and while theft has been reported in the past (of packages), I haven’t experienced this in the year I’ve been here.

Some of the neighbors are pretty damn trashy and leave refuse in the hallways and other common areas.
Advice to owner:
Give Rudy a raise and make the building look cleaner and nicer. We pay a lot of money to live here, the place shouldn’t look as dingy as it does.

Solid apartment building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Pretty good experience overall, building was clean, no pests besides summer bugs, nice super
Cons:
Neighbors on the same street were rowdy at times, heat sometimes was not great

Raised rent by almost 50%
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very nice apartment, super lived in the building
Cons:
Issues were rarely resolved properly, our super refused to wear a mask inside (before vaccines). We signed a 15 month lease, and a month before our move-out date they informed us our rent would increase from $2700 to $4200.
Advice to owner:
Your business is our livelihood. Increasing the rent by almost 50% with NO renovations or changes to the space, with only a month’s notice, is absolutely absurd and evil.

Decent, building
Former Tenant
Pros:
I liked the owner’s responsiveness.
Cons:
I did not like that the mail/packages just sits in the front room. Also very hot in the summer

Horrible building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super is friendly and helpful, I felt safe around him as a woman. Neighbors are friendly thought dogs can be loud and run on the roof often.
Cons:
Management is rude, unresponsive, and show an alarming amount of disregard when it came to emergencies and health code violations such as leaking ceilings, dirty lobby and roof (there’s literal sh*t on the roof and pee in the elevator), and rodents. My neighbor had to hire a contractor herself at one point because management refused to handle the giant leaks in her ceilings for over 5 months, claiming they couldn’t find a contractor, and the property manager actually yelled at her for doing so. The “updated modern appliances” such as in unit laundry, radiators, and dishwashers don’t work half of the time and often leak and shake, but management claimed that they are supposed to do that. Water pressure is pretty weak and it takes over 10 minutes for showers and sinks to get warm. Packages were often stolen, as other reviews mentioned, but I’m not sure who was stealing them. They also use rhino instead of a standard security deposit and multiple tenants, including me, who moved out once they literally more than doubled our rent in 2021-2022 were unable to end our rhino policies on time because they refused to confirm that we had moved out and claimed we still lived there (rhino checks with the management company before letting you end your policy). They are scammers and incredibly disrespectful, I do not recommend living here unless you want to burn money.
Advice to owner:
Do better or get a real job

Friendly, busy apartment. Cool Pre-war features but still renovated
Former Tenant
Pros:
Many different types of residents. Young adults and families from different backgrounds. The apartment doors lock automatically behind you which is a good safety measure. Many friendly faces. Lots of cute pets!
Cons:
Fairly noisy because of the families and pets mentioned above. Construction noises from a building right next door. Super isn’t very responsive. People keep breaking into the building to steal the mail or try to get into apartments. Keep seeing cops in the lobby.
Advice to owner:
Quicker response times to maintenance issues, additional safety features, and follow ups to break in report or reports of suspicious activity.
