Awful…Management company is terrible and short cuts fixing things.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to train; good restaurants nearby
Cons:
Illegal basement, rats in the walls, worn out floors, multiple pest issues, no front door key, terrible job “fixing” things
Advice to owner:
Fire the management company

Former Tenant
Pros:
Extra large unit, good amenities, responsive landlord (even if you didn’t like their answer)
Cons:
Building had a mouse problem, was manageable and not a full infestation but renters beware. Neighbors in building constantly throw parties that last all night and mgmt cannot/will not take care of the situation. Building itself is typically dirty/out-of-date, you can tell this is just another lot in the mgmt portfolio. Several package thefts because the front door is broken.
Advice to owner:
Love your response time but please try to make a minimal effort with this building. Rent is too expensive to have to deal with these issues all the time.

Definition of landlord special
Former Tenant
Pros:
The bathroom was nice, the ceilings are high, lots of natural light.
Cons:
Unsafe, everything is broken, dirty, moldy you name it.
Advice to owner:
Get a management company that cares

To avoid, really.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap rent, natural light. (Please note the following concerns first floor).
Cons:
- Toxic mold on multiple spots of the apartment and AC system full of mold. - Rat piss and poison smell spreading through the apartment. - Found hard drugs in the apartment after moving in. The apartment was basically a drug house during Covid time. - Homeless people sleeping in the electrical room in the basement, crossing the fences by the window facing the street. - Noise, screams, music until 4am. - Backyard abandoned for a long time and remains some attached bikes from the previous owner.
Advice to owner:
Please be responsive on urgent health threatening requests.

Takes forever to get things fixed, trash outside a lot, a lot of rats outside
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive

1 year of garbage
Former Tenant
Pros:
The appliances are new and the apartments are big.
Cons:
Everything is dirty, chipping paint and broken tiles all over the lobby and stairwell. Backyard is never serviced. There’s mold in the lobby. The lobby gets broken into and packages stolen every day. The washer and dryer have been “replaced” 4 times and still don’t work (they’re the same machines) every utility and service worker the building brings in left our place a huge mess and no employee of the building ever respected any covid courtesies.
