budget for a reason
Former Tenant
Pros:
the units have in-unit laundry and dishwasher and the rent is cheap as the landlord is willing to rent by room.
Cons:
if you're a self-starter, this is the place for you. building-wide cleanliness is a huge issue; i've seen roaches year round on the 3rd floor and the stairwell is constantly full of trash. neighbors play music often, so if you sleep lightly, you won't get much here. if you're coming into a lease that has previous tenants staying, management will assume they will fill you in on building details. i had a maintenance request pending for seven months because i didn't know how to contact management. all of these problems can be solved if you're willing to be the only person cleaning, contacting, and keeping up the place--but then you can probably find a better place to stay anyways.
Advice to owner:
why do you own property if you don't care about upkeeping it?
