Low Maintenance Homebody, So It's *Fine*
Former Tenant
Pros:
Everyone in the building keeps to themselves and generally respects each other. The neighborhood is great, close to a park, close to Ridgewood restaurants, close to the L, & close to necessary shops. The neighbors who have lived here forever are really kind and welcoming when you make the effort, they love their neighborhood and are very protective of it. All new appliances & finishes.
Cons:
I have never once spoken to my landlord, honestly don't even know their name. This building has changed hands so many times in the past two years after being renovated. Thankfully, this latest landlord instituted third-party maintenance app to put in requests (which is generally very easy to navigate and quick to respond) but couldn't tell you who my rent goes to. The garbage area can get super dirty as we have a mini tornado of trash from the street that occurs regularly and trash ends up on our doorstep and with no regular cleaning it can get out of hand.
Advice to owner:
Establish a regular cleaner to come into the building (both inside and out).

Building fine but management deserves jail
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s a building. The balconies are nice.
Cons:
Dishwasher was broken and full of maggots when we moved in. Water heater mysteriously went out. Management is stubbornly unhelpful, bordering on useless. The simplest requests take weeks to fulfill and communication is nonexistent.
Advice to owner:
If you can’t handle maintenance requests in a timely fashion at least try to communicate expectations and keep your tenants apprised of updates.

Could be worse
Former Tenant
Pros:
New appliances, good space, convenient location
Cons:
Doors stop working, thin walls and ceilings, lack of closet space, ground floor flooded, never seen the supee
