Pros:
the apartments are beautiful inside, there is very cute detailing such as exposed brick arches and the spaces, closets, rooms are honestly giant but management does NOT take care of their property.
Cons:
- rats are OUT of control in this building!! They're on the porch stairs, the outdoor basement stairs has a hole where I think they get inside the walls!! The porch is filled with trash and dirt from the rats. There were rats in our apartment and we had to send a picture of a rat inside to get management to do anything. Any request for control from management has been ignored or bare minimum has been done. The owner of the neighboring brownstone has done more to try to get rid of the rats than the owner of this property
- roaches and bugs are also out of control!! I consider myself pretty clean but the bathroom/sinks are crawling with bugs
- one of our roommates had water damage in their room and they had to send a video of water POURING from the water damage to get it fixed from management
- mail situation is a mess, mail has gone missing inside the building and the entrance to the apartment is FILTHY and extremely disorganized
- doorbell doesn't work for some of the apartments!
- the landlord/management is SUS, someone called 311 regarding our rats and the landlord proceeded to call everyone in my apartment asking if it was us and to call him next time instead. we never got a copy of the signed lease and one of our roommates never even signed it. we tried to contact him to send us a copy and he never did.
- the patio has rats and the roof is so badly taken care of despite it being so cute. The roof is dirty and the wood is chipping making it super easy to get a splinter up there. The porch/patio/roof are full of cigarettes too, through the living room window you can see a tiny outdoor space on the first floor that's dump central for all that
-the heat is really bad sometimes. we left a water cup in a table next to the window and it partly FROZE overnight! we had the heat at 68!
- the apartment was filthy when we moved in because the landlord hadn't even tried to clean it after the previous tenants moved out.
