Good value
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment is spacious and newly renovated. Fairly low rent for the area due to one of the bedrooms being windowless/ with a skylight (NYC real estate law states a room without a window cannot be counted as a “bedroom”). So, more square-footage for less money. Tree-lined street and friendly neighborhood. Landlord was a nice guy.
Cons:
The building is privately owned by a guy who lives primarily in California (used to live in Brooklyn, but now the building is pretty much his investment property). He’s actually a pretty nice guy and was good about fixing dire situations as soon as possible (like a leaky ceiling), but sometimes with things like a broken dishwasher or dryer he would take weeks to get someone out there. It wasn’t like there was a super or property manager to call.
