Slumlords of Brooklyn
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap rent, convenience to airports, subways, busses, etc
Cons:
No elevator, no super maintenance, landlord and his wife are unprofessional in regards to keeping tenants info private. They also lovvvvvve to cut corners and bring unlicensed professionals to make repairs which become re-occuring issues in the future. They lovvvvve to gossip with other tenants especially if you fall unto hard times. When you make a complaint the response from the landlord's wife comes off as is its your fault, and never takes accountability especially if the city is contacted. They would prefer if you keep quiet.
Advice to owner:
Stop taking shortcuts, being greedy, and actually get real professionals to make the repairs.
