Roaches are a serious issue
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartments can be spacious, laundry on site, newly renovated elevator, super is very responsive, free monthly exterminator sign up.
Cons:
Roaches are a serious issue in this building. They have exterminators come regularly and you can sign up monthly, but it doesn’t really help. If you don’t sign up sometimes you’ll get an influx of roaches from nearby apartments that do. Backyard is also unkempt and laundry room closes at 8 which can be difficult for people working 9-5. Packages also get stolen occasionally, on a few occasions by a tenant in the building and nothing was really done about it despite there being camera evidence.
Advice to owner:
Investing in figuring out where the roach nests are and eradicating them and then enforcing policies to keep them out.
Keeping laundry room open 24hrs.
Investing in making the backyard space nice. I feel like I’m looking out onto a trash pit out my window.
