They lied through their teeth
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is new and someone comes to clean the floors every Monday or Tuesday. It’s well lit.
Cons:
They lied about trash pick up. We literally have a room on every floor that says “trash room” which the agent themselves told me was for tenants to put their trash in and it would be collected...the rental company said “that’s not the case and we are sorry you were told that”...why else would they have that ? They tried to claim it was for construction but that’s a bold faced lie.
Second, the building is unfinished. I had exposed wiring in my unit and unpatched drywall upon moving in. They took their sweet time about coming to fix certain issues.
The washing machine is always not working. Every other week we have issues doing laundry. Not just that but it’s not vented out correctly so it feels like a sauna after you drive your clothes and that’s eventually going to cause mold. There’s unevenness in the drywall and tile work in the bathroom, dips in the subflooring..I can keep going.
There’s clearly some kind of electrical problem as well. When I moved in one of the lights in my kitchen had blown. Which was no biggie to me but then a second light has started flickering, the light in the hall above my door flickers as well. They are aware of this and take their time to send someone out to fix these issues. Being quite honest I don’t think the building is up to code as some units are listed incorrectly as far as their size/type of unit goes.
Advice to owner:
Please finish your properties and get better companies to do the work for you. Poor craftsmanship in this building and it looks like a lot of corners were taken to avoid costs.
