Discrimination and always litigation.
Former Tenant
Pros:
I love the older neighbors.
Cons:
They never clean the building, you have no roof access, no amenities for the rate of rent is ridiculous in a 4 story walk up. The owner seems sketchy and he can be intimidating when you point an issue out on your rental agreement or about your apartment.
Advice to owner:
Retire and keep the building to someone who wants tenants.

Lovely apartment, little to complain about!
Former Tenant
Pros:
It was fairly well maintained, neighbors were kind/neutral/quiet, laundry in unit, very updated, overall a great place!
Cons:
Could be noisy from the street, the owner was very responsive but sometimes the outsourced employees were not, like to fix an appliance or something, occasional roach issue

Nightmare, Stay Away!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The only pro is the location as you’re literally in the middle of just about everything from prospect park to food and shopping.
Cons:
The landlord who has no title on the lease or at parkway realty Michael Weiss and owner Margareta Miller are scammers and are constantly in court with their tenants all over NYC

They do not like to do repairs or renovations until you call 311 and then they send a shell business/company in which they own. The job will never be finished as they are into patching things up instead of actually fixing it

I currently have a hole in my roof and mold in my bathroom

The building manager never cleans the lobby

During Hurricane Idas remnants that hit us the roof of the building flooded due to no proper gutter installs which caused leaks in some apartments and flooding in several others. When I and several of my neighbors tried calling the super, no one answered and when they did they had no advice but to wait until the next day.

The rent is extremely high and the apartments or appliances are not up to date

All of the apartments have mold and lead issues

The walls are thin and you can hear everything in the hallway and in other apartments from time to time

You cannot access the roof, which I was told I would be able to.

Advice to owner:
Stop being a slum lord and manage your businesses properly.

Small building with somewhat responsive management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet, great neighbors, finally good garbage management, if super isn't responsive then management will let you take care if the problem and deduct from rent.
Cons:
No live in super, super and management are not super responsive
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive and get a better super and porter
