1E madness forever
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great intercom I guess
Cons:
My neighbors apartment attracts rats mice and cockroaches, and got the cops and fire department called on them once a week and the landlord does nothing about it
Advice to owner:
Do something about the pests and unruly tenants in 1E

Rent regulated building with quirks
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent regulated
Friendly neighbors who have lived in the building/neighborhood for years. Lots of families.
Big apartments, big windows, great natural light.
Beautiful hardwood floors.
Cons:
Unfortunately the lovely pre war detailing has been painted over to absolute hell.
Very hot in the summer, especially on higher floors
Slow response from landlord about ANY request, from BUGS to WATER TEMPERATURE.
Water temp is majorly faulty in the Fall/Spring. Cold water out of hot faucet for days/weeks.
On site super is around all the time but rarely responds to anything not immediately pressing.
I've had to file 311 complaints to get them to do anything.
Advice to owner:
Get another person to handle maintenance calls. Also provide monthly exterminator visits.

The last few years have been misery
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is close to the Q train stop and Prospect Park, on fairly quiet one-way street
Cons:
Poorly maintained, dirty, mice and roach infestation, no elevator
Advice to owner:
The owner failed to be responsive to tenants on the most basic and legitimate requests
