BROOKLYN RENTERS BEWARE
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apt is in a great location, Laundry and Elevator but often needs maintenance
Cons:
This building is a co-op & unless you're dealing with a truthfully responsive unit owner, it's going to be miserable. The management over this building (Morris Rokowsky/Solomon Rokowsky) are incredibly unprofessional, and if it ever comes to dealing with them be careful. Money-hounding management, only looking for their next cent. Really check out who you're working with before you take the plunge!
Advice to owner:
Offer your tenants basic decency

Arden House review
Former Tenant
Pros:
Has doorman at night. Spacious. Great light from outside. Quiet street. Neighbors are very nice
Cons:
BUGS(lots of them). Thin walls. People can be loud sometimes maybe it’s because of the thin walls though.
Advice to owner:
Have pest control come in way more frequently.

Don’t live on the first floor
Former Tenant
Pros:
secure lobby, friendly neighbors, the superintendent is very kind and attentive
Cons:
Living on the first floor there is lots of noise, you can hear people talking outside your window as late as 3am. It’s an old building with a major roach problem.
Advice to owner:
Every unit on the first floor probably needs to be properly fumigated in order for the issue to be resolved

Has a lot of charm but also roaches
Former Tenant
Pros:
Most neighbors are very friendly Parking garage Elevator Many closets Big bright windows
Laundry machines use an app
Cons:
So.many.roaches. and if you don’t run downstairs as soon as your packages arrive there’s a 50/50 chance you will actually get it.
Advice to owner:
Get a package cage or a camera buzzer system. And get the exterminator in here on a regular basis. Also, you should let the tenants know when there are going to be repair people on the roof. We’ve had break-ins and it’s super stressful to see someone outside my window and not know whether they are supposed to be there or not!

Advice to owner:
Loving all the changes lately and I hope they continue.
