Good location, large spaces, fix the issues incl the crap neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
- large spaces, high ceilings - across from park
Cons:
- Building front door has been broken and unlocked for almost 2 years, with management saying 'it's gonna be fixed'. Some days it's literally swung open for hours at a time.Packages stolen constantly, homeless folks coming in and out to sleep on roof, no security. - A lot of good folks in the building, but a couple of a**holes ruin it for the rest - loud, inconsiderate, obnoxious... play loud music all hours of night and day, have loud phone calls at windows and courtyard for all to have to listen to. - Floors are old and very thin - can hear everything from your upstairs and downstairs neighbors - can hear full phone conversations, tv, music - Units don't get light unless higher up. - Management company does nothing to address issues.
Advice to owner:
- Deal with the a**holes in the building - Fix the front door already

Average place with no landlord accountability.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Directly across from Prospect Park. 5min walk to BQ and 10min walk to FG. 3min drive to highway. Lots of light. Good closet space compared to others. Kind neighbors. 2100 for a 2 bedroom with new appliances. Barely any "city noise" The super is nice. Not to be confused with the building owners / management co. Rent only goes up about 10 bucks each year
Cons:
Building owners are nearly nonexistent and ignore requests Roof leak took 1 year to fix Packages stolen regularly due to front door being unlocked permanently Side door to building is always open even if the front door is locked Bugs on bugs on bugs even though we are very clean People smoke cigs in the hallways regularly Hard to get a hold of management co There are definitely drug dealers in the building. The heat works most of the time but has gone out around 10 times this winter for a day or so The hot water doesn't work sometimes because a neighbor has an illegal washer and dryer that takes it all.
Advice to owner:
Treat your property with care if you want people to stick around.
