Good value for the price
Former Tenant
Pros:
Unit was rent stabilized, giving me much more space than I could afford in a market rate apartment and no rent hikes. Super is out in the hallways cleaning every day. Neighbors are friendly and it is a very quiet residential neighborhood.
Cons:
Roach problem, they have a monthly pest control signup but it seems to be a building infestation

Crooke Ave Experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
rent-controlled units, upgraded cameras on doors, spacious
Cons:
some mice and roach issues; area is sketchy a few blocks south

Well maintained with good management
Former Tenant
Pros:
I've been impressed with how generally clean the common areas are kept, very responsive super and management. 1928 building with a few quirky exterior and interior touches if you look close, cool art deco vintage lights in the front hallway.
Cons:
Noise from the B & Q trains can rattle the building sometimes. Heat is not always as great/consistent as it could be.

Not bad not good
Former Tenant
Pros:
Relatively quiet with the exception of one neighbor/ very loud unit. Just about everyone is friendly and neighborly though. Super close to the BQ trains and the park. Package room. The super (Armando) is the best.
Cons:
Bug control could be better. Building is infested with roaches. No laundry room in building. Neighbor noise is awful because walls and floors are very thin. Management is hard to get in contact with but they are nice folks in my experience.
Advice to owner:
Please add a laundry room.

Infested, but nice area
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great, right near the park
Cons:
Roaches everywhere, occasional mice
Advice to owner:
Mandatory exterminator visits for all apartments. Landlords never respond to tenant calls.
