Nice apartment but landlords unresponsive
Former Tenant
Pros:
New building, nice neighbors, nice amenities such as W/D in unit, dishwasher, gym, package room, and roof deck.
Cons:
Building materials used appear to be low quality, leading to maintenance issues that then never get resolved (or get resolved months and months later) despite following up. The building has significant leakage leading to water damage in apartments and in the common areas. A contractor that came to fix our water damage told us that this has been an issue in all of the buildings this landlord owns. Just crappy construction and materials. Landlords own a bunch of buildings and so you are very much a faceless number to them. Management is very snarky, shaming, and disrespectful in email communication, when they ever deign to email you back. If you rent with them, make sure you know your rights, because they will try to walk all over you and violate the law.

Nice location but difficult management.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice building, in unit washer dryer and balcony, air conditioning. Good location.
Cons:
Management was rude after we moved out and attempted to withhold part of our security deposit for no reason and without proof, falsely claiming we damaged items in the apartment. They did not inspect the apartment for more than 14 days after we moved out and then claimed damages and tried to withhold the deposit, which is against the law. We were able to get our entire deposit back after significant back and forth and referring to the law requiring an itemized bill be sent within 14 days of vacating the apartment.

So-so could be better
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is new. Had in unit laundry. Bathrooms are nice. Has a decent units. Parking fees are reasonable. Nice wood floors.
Cons:
The building is not complete after a year. The stairwells and the hallways have expose beams. The roof terrace was never furnaces. Walls are very thing. Units are small. Electric stove and heating expensive. Package room doesn’t lock. Has a commercial space on the first floor that made and lilacs drive space for their car. Too many cars park in the sidewalk and compete for the spot after hours. Water heater- pay for own hot water. Hot water doesn’t last long
Advice to owner:
Needs to be more respectful in email communication. Building management can be snarky and defensive in emails over simple things.
