Your worst nightmare
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nothing about this place is good.
Cons:
BED BUGS!! Never had bed bugs in my life, moved in and in couple weeks we had an infestation. Paid for proper treatment out of pocket as management company just sent someone over to “spray” when we told them we had a problem. Finally bed bugs were gone, 6 months later they were back again. Pest company said it was likely coming from a larger infestation in the building that hasn’t been treated. STAY AWAY.
Advice to owner:
Demo the building and start over

Buyer beware
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment is cheap and rent-stabilized. Studios are large.
Cons:
Heating issues are consistently poor after 3 years of living here. The landlord does not respond to anything - emails, phone calls, texts, etc. Management office is completely incompetent - does not follow up on tickets, loses e-mails repeatedly, etc. Bugs Elevator often broken or shut down
Worst of all, 222 Lenox was subject of a fire last year that was most likely caused due to improper maintenance being done. The management company was completely incommunicative of how to respond after the fire, leaving tenants with no information on when or how they would be able to access their apartments. In addition, tenants were being charged for rent even though apartments in the building were unable to be occupied due to fire/water damage. It took consistent outreach from our tenant associate and Brooklyn Housing & Family Services to get anything done. In fact, it's been six months since the fire and there is STILL no cooking gas available in the apartment.
Advice to owner:
Sell the building to a landlord who actually gives a shit about their tenants. You are the absolute worst management company I've ever worked with.

Don’t live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Laundry in building
Cons:
I’ve had trouble with pests, cockroaches and mice. Packages stolen all the time. I’ve seen homeless people in the lobby. I once had a clogged bathtub for 2 weeks before someone fixed it. We’ve now had a fire and had no cooking gas for weeks. I could go on
