Never returned security, gross, and disappointing
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment looked very nice!! So many windows and the hardwood floors were pretty. Also very tall ceilings. That’s
Cons:
There was no garbage services so it piled and smelled in the front, the landlord was unresponsive and wouldn’t even let us use any lock smith. We had to use one he was friends with and they charged us 50% more than other options. When I moved in, the oven set on fire when I first tried using it because the previous tenant left a huge build up of grease. Also, we never received our security after we moved out.
Advice to owner:
Do better. This was the most disappointing landlord experience I’ve ever had.

Great location, basically no landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great subway and bus accessibility. Neighbors are friendly and relaxed. Great light in my apartment which is in great shape. When the oven broke the landlord replaced it as quickly as possible which was great. Laundry in building and never had to wait for it.
Cons:
Landlord is not pleasant to communicate with. The management company that does not respond to tickets. There were lots of issues with the garbage management, no super for a long time, etc. The basement is very messy and poorly managed. FYI I paid $2,200 total de t in 2021/22. Utilities were about $200 a month five or take, you have to paid electric, heat, and wifi.
Advice to owner:
Get a real super so you can actually address tenant concerns. It took almost a month to get my security deposit back which is not legal.
