Terrible maintenance & management

Pros:
Rent stabilized, relatively large apartments (e.g. eat in kitchen), lots of windows/good light, elevators
Cons:
Poorly maintained, filthy common spaces, horrendous package theft, pests, unresponsive super & management
Advice to owner:
Clean up the building!

Pros:
Standard renovations in the units, live-in super who is friendly.
Cons:
-my bathroom literally collapsing management was unresponsive even after multiple 311 reports. They patched the hole with a cardboard box, refused to seal it.
-rampant package theft
-neighbors screaming in hallways year round--adults arguing, yelling, loud music no disregard for neighbors late at night.
-rampant issues with pests.
Advice to owner:
Do the bare minimum to take care of tenants

Pros:
Apartment seemed like a good deal for the location and amount of space.
Cons:
Roach infested. No amount of exterminator visits will fix it. Neighbors blast subwoofer to the point of vibrations causing valuable items to fall from the shelves.
Advice to owner:
Get rid of the roaches building wife and evict the loud tenants

Pros:
The apartments are spacious and beautiful. If you take good care of your own space, it can be great.
Cons:
This building is always a disgusting mess. No one is cleaning on a regular basis. People hang out in the lobby/halls/staircases and no leave trash in the halls and no one does anything about it.
Advice to owner:
Pay someone to come in and clean, the super does not. Have the super enforce the rules that that the common hallway areas are not for hanging out or a place for children to play.
