New build, hopefully new management
Former Tenant
Pros:
New fixtures, apartment layout is good for entertaining. Rooftop access. Not many bugs, no rodents. Close to subway. New super had just moved in as we were leaving. Management communicates poorly and tried to keep our security deposit even after the inspector said everything was clean.
Cons:
Landlord illegally evicted people during the moratorium. One of the tenants regularly lets her dog defecate on the roof and it doesn’t get cleaned up. The basement gym has so much mold it hurts to breathe. Noisy block, hard to sleep at night if your unit faces the street.
Advice to owner:
Monitor the property more closely

Brand new amenities, uncaring landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice updated features, all appliances in good working order. Nice windows and ample light. Easy to access and clean laundry facilities in basement
Cons:
Drain flies from the drains. Loud neighbourhood. Greedy landlord
Advice to owner:
More cleaning on building common areas. Fix the front door handle (it broke off) and have less crazy clauses in your contract i.e Stating we are unable to sue for any reason

Not bad after all
Former Tenant
Pros:
I love the location, and it’s modern fixtures!
Cons:
The super didn’t really clean the lobby and staircase too often and the water pressure in our apartment is HORRIBLE.
Advice to owner:
I advise that the owner really fix the water pressure, add furniture to the rooftop and backyard space and ensure that the lobby and hallways are being cleaned atleast twice a week. It would really make a difference. Other than that, this was a great place to live. No serious serious problems at all!

Building with potential
Former Tenant
Pros:
The design is great and spacious. Love the balconies.
Landlord responds quickly.
Cons:
Bugs were all over the basement at one point. They even started to go up to the apartments. Water pressure in the kitchen is horrible. There’s been a lot of (dog?) poop in the halls lately.
Advice to owner:
I think it’s important to properly fix the problems not just look for quick fixes where we have to message him every few months.
