If your in desperate need.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The community is great the apartments are spacious.
Cons:
The building hallways are dark and scruffy the incinerator is always smelly and filled with rodents and roaches there is no efficiency to the building setup there are 8 steps before you get to the elevator (Not elderly or disabled efficient) the doors to enter the building one is smaller than the other the door with main building key the handle was put on the wrong direction. ( Hope no one is trying to chase or if your hands are full or have to use the restroom you won’t make it in on time due to the access the door handle requires both hands to open.
The Maintenance department takes months before the respond to the service calls. There is no Superintendent on site, So if you have any issues over the weekend there is no one on call. Especially if it’s a holiday weekend. (So if you have plumbing, heating, electrical outages, and complaints or other issues) The apartment upkeep is add needed. So if it’s not broken or hanging off the hinges the won’t fix it. They paint over the cabinets so if you try cleaning them paint is slowly peeling getting all over your food and counter tops, The appliances are the old white stove and fridge No stainless steel. The floors in the apartment are poorly insulated so you can hear the tenants conversations and movement from ABOVE and BELOW’S Apartment my children use to hear the tenants above us always having sex and playing video games, and the tenants below would always complain if we were walking in our home at the time. Rent started for me @2700.00 and went up.
Advice to owner:
Start upgrades on the entire building. Take care of your tenants. You have space to include outdoor and indoor seating for tenants you can also include a community area for tenants guest. Upgrade the laundry room paint and can include more folding space. Make access to the garage more convenient. Make new opening for the elevator so in can come down to the main lobby floor so no need to go up steps prior.
