Avoid at all costs, Nightmare super, uncaring owner
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent controlled, small apartment good for 2 people, close to transportation, across the street from laundry, supermarket and drug store walking distance. I would have loved to stay here for years.
Cons:
Super brought her intoxicated son to physically attack us and tresspass in our apartment. Three police reports down and the landlord doesnt believe it's his problem. Agressive, unprofessional, hostile super. You hear every footstep, conversation, sneeze, cough, you name it. You will be harrassed to "not make any sounds" after 10. Yes, that includes talking at a normal volume in your apartment. Spiders and roaches in the halls. They want us to recycle soiled cardboard and waxed cardboard which isn't supposed to be recycled. If you don't they rip open the bag and tell you you're doing it wrong. Management encourages constant recording of sounds from others apartments.
Advice to owner:
Maybe add better soundproofing on flooring and the doorways. Don't be afraid to tell someone when they're doing something wrong. It's about professionalism and mutual respect, which everyone deserves. Stand firmly for what's right and fair.
