Stay away from here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Heat/hot water is ok
Landlord does not live in building
Rent is reasonable
Large railroad apartment
Cons:
Electricity needs to be updated so no new appliances allowed (no ceiling fans, , no air fryer, no ac). Apartment runs on very little electricity and if you lose power, breakers are located in the basement with no access.
Building is not clean and needs repair (visible cracks on walls and in living units, dirt on staircases for months, peeling paint)
Infestation of rats on front steps and roaches inside building
Plumbing is old, water damage and leaks everywhere
Advice to owner:
At the very least upgrade the electricity in the building. Without windows there is very little that can be done with standards fans
