Luxury Pricing, Slumlord Digs
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s located in a great area and near transportation.
Cons:
The building is not maintained well at all. There is garbage in the hallways constantly, dead bugs, dust, dirt, holes in the hallway walls, broken security door, and the garbage out front overflows constantly. Plus, the apartment we are in is clearly an old 1 bedroom converted into 2.
The heat is included, but the heat is off during the winter so you end up paying $100 more a month for electric space heaters. The landlord replied, “I only have to keep it at 57 degrees” when I asked him about it...even though I’m paying $1875 for this awful apartment.
Advice to owner:
Stop charging luxury prices if you aren’t going to do the basic building maintenance.
