Great apartment, horrible building
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building has a great location and parking in the area. Close to everything while far enough from the commotion of 3rd avenue, very close to the park on shore road as well. The apartment is a great size and has plenty of closets.
Cons:
Elevator NEVER works, living on the 5th floor this is horrible. Basement looks like a horror movie, dead roaches, bugs and other creatures. Laundry is absolutely disgusting, there is mold in the washing machines that is never cleaned from all the people using soap etc. One washer and dryer are usually out
Advice to owner:
DO BETTER. There are older people in the building who can not go up and down the steps. The sanitary conditions alone should be fixed.

Bayridge coop building
Former Tenant
Pros:
nice neighborhood, a lot of trees, parks, clean streets and beautiful architecture. The apartment is affordable and has little nooks that bring out its features
Cons:
NOT CLEAN, roach infestation, windows are not secure, building maintenance is a hot mess, has not been painted, floors are dirty and you’ll occasionally find a dead roach on the steps.
Advice to owner:
renew the apartments, have new appliances, fix the floors, listen to your tenants and don’t gaslight them

Dirty, infested, falling apart
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is great
Cons:
The management does not take care of the building. The basement is infested with roaches and mice, which are often found in the hallways and trash shoots. There are broken tiles on the floor, peeling paint on the walls, and the packages are constantly being stolen from the main lobby. The apartments are not well cared for, unless they have been recently renovated. There are windows with missing and broken screens. The heat in the building is very inconsistent and is often not on during very cold days.
Advice to owner:
PLEASE invest in pest control and upkeep of the building. Not doing so is extremely negligent.
