It’s fine not great
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighbors are nice, polite.
Cons:
The landlord only makes minor fixes. He does patch work instead of actually making changes. He has the heat on a timer so it only really comes on after 6pm on days where the outside temp is lower than 39 degrees. The intercom for most apartments don’t work and the front door lock to the building is broken. Packages have been stolen in the past because the lock is broken. The landlord also turns down the hot water in the summer. He’s all about saving money for himself whenever he can. He’s slow to respond for basic things, repairs and updates and there isn’t a designated super. Just a “guy he knows”
Advice to owner:
Just make the repairs. It’s way less expensive to just make the updates and repairs than it would be to do this patch work year after year.
