Was a nice building, but is getting worse
Former Tenant
Pros:
Big lobby and stoop in front. There’s laundry in the basement and a newer elevator. The mailboxes are new and modern.
Cons:
Super is rarely around and honestly rude sometimes, can never get a hold of him because he manages so many other buildings. The garbage piles up in the basement, they only have 3 cans for over 30 units. Most tenants are considerate and normal, but there have been many recently that are dirty, disrespectful of the trash they throw (which then attracts LOTS of roaches and mice too), and leave a mess in the laundry room. Also the owners RARELY clean the lobby, elevator, or stoop in front. It’s disgusting and disrespectful and just seems to be getting worse.
Advice to owner:
Don’t be cheap. When people tell you that there’s bugs and mice, it’s because YOU didn’t bother to pay to plug up the holes that you should have when you renovated the units years ago. And then your tenants suffer the consequences. Be more proactive when it comes to maintaining the building. Rent isn’t exactly cheap and it’s your responsibility to clean the building and provide a safe and clean environment for yourself tenants.
