It's an alright place
Former Tenant
Pros:
- The building is the quietest I've lived in through the years in Brooklyn. The tenants are mostly couples without children, older folks, and singles who are polite and quiet.
- The super is pretty responsive and will repair things fairly quickly when needed.
- The building is close to transportation.
- Have only seen three cockroaches in total in the several years lived here.
- The rent is reasonable.
- They allow cats.
Cons:
- The walls, molding, doorknobs, and power outlets suffer from the landlord paint job special. These apartments have never seen painter's tape or a drop cloth.
- The vinyl/linoleum floors in the kitchen are ugly, crumbling, and old. The sinks are old, the stove is ancient, and using the oven feels a bit risky, had gas leak issue once.
- The apartment was pretty dirty when I first moved in.
- You have to pay rent by check, not the most convenient, and it's incredibly hard to get a hold of management.
Advice to owner:
Upkeep the vintage areas like the parquet floors which gives the place vintage charm, but please replace the linoleum with tile so that it's not constantly peeling,

Former Tenant
Pros:
Super is helpful and kind.
Cons:
Management does not respond.
No email contact.
No carbon monoxide detectors
Leaks
Roaches
Mice
Centipedes
Duct tapes problems instead of fixing them will not spend money for proper repairs
Windows have gaps and drafty
Cabinets waterlogged and damaged
Yellow water in bathroom often
Front door does not open easily
Water lines are on opposite sides for all of my faucets and shower.
Multiple ceiling leaks
Rotted areas of wood floor
Heat could be much better.
Active gas leak was not deemed urgent by management took 1 month to fix
Advice to owner:
Become a professional property owner. Respond to health concerns in building. Just do the right thing by your tenants they pay rent.

Not a great place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
-Garbage always taken care of appropriately
-There is scheduled pesticide(for roaches) scheduled once a month
-cheap, rent stabilized
Cons:
This building’s tenants are very loud and there is no care in who they rent their apartments to—Lots of careless young adults living there. The building is poorly kept, dirty and only swept/mopped every few months. “Part time” Super is never in and unhelpful in maintenance issues. There’s definitely a mouse problem as well. these things wouldn’t bother you, as they did me, then go for it.
Advice to owner:
Take more care of who you’re renting your apartments to. Take more care in having your super be more active in building maintenance/cleanliness
