Amazing Spacious Place! (Dated 15 Years Ago)
Former Tenant
Pros:
This was an apartment rented through the Chinese newspaper. When it comes to renting a unit in a predominantly Asian neighborhood, you are bound to get cheap rents. This is because you’re renting a unit (either the basement, 1st, or 2nd floor) of the owner’s house. This also means that whether you have an excellent experience or a downright horrible experience is entirely dependent on who your landlord is.

This building was an amazing experience mainly because of how spacious, clean, and well-equipped it was. My family and I had both floors of the house and so we had A LOT of room. The 2nd floor itself was probably 2 to 3,000 square feet which is incredible at the price we rented it at but do consider this was 15 years ago!

This was also one of the cleanest places we have ever lived at, but we must be thankful for the fact that my family never cooks so the likelihood of dirtying the place is already low.

This was also one of the places where the sunlight really favored us, as it became the cheap source of light for us!
Cons:
The only con is that most people think small apartments/condos/houses/any residence is bad. Let me tell you – big spaces can be bad too. The entire 2nd floor was EMPTY for us, but we still had to clean to maintain the space. I know my family has less possessions than most people, but when renting any unit, consider how much space you need. Don’t overpay by renting more than you need.

(It looks like the app can’t go further back than 2010 but this review was for experiences in 2004-2005)
Advice to owner:
I’m not sure if the owner is still the same but regardless, keep maintaining this beautiful space!
