Great building, mediocre management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood and upper floors have great breezes and views. It’s close to the subway and there is usually parking nearby on one of the dead-end streets.
Cons:
Roaches are an intermittent problem, but they’re just generally around and not all up in our food.
Occasionally the hot water isn’t hot. It is usually fixed within a day.
Management fixes issues if you raise them but they don’t seek our input. They’re suddenly painting all the walls, which look fine, when what I think residents would prefer is secure package storage or video doorbells so we can see if it’s really UPS ringing at the front door, or a thief.
Advice to owner:
Fix the boiler for once and for all and engage with your residents besides the bare minimum. You don’t even need to put the superintendent on it, just email people or cold-call them. You know where to find us!
