Not bad especially for rent stabilized
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevators always work, entrance and hallways pretty clean, walls extremely thick, plenty of heat in fall and winter, quiet neighbors.
Management company was okay on lease renewals and good about getting full security deposit back. Live in super was a good guy and very helpful for apartment issues.
Cons:
Typical pre-war stuff - low electricity capacity, no laundry on site, small windows make window ac units difficult. Apartment was broken into once but nothing stolen.

Management not responsive
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is well kept in a good location. Responsive super.
Cons:
Management and broker were very slow to respond to concerns. Apartment was not fully ready for me during move- in. It was dirty and the radiator cover was randomly standing in a different room from where it belonged. Apartment front door too short, I had to cover the gap myself.
Advice to owner:
Prepare apartments better for new tenants.

Good Loyal Tenant
Former Tenant
Pros:
Peaceful and Quiet. Can hear a pin drop except for occasional ambulance or police responding to emergencies
Cons:
Old windows with minimal frame insulation which either results in loss of heat and/or permits outside cold air being forced in from gusty winds.
Advice to owner:
Do a complete window restoration.

Negligent management, renter beware
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Nice enough super
Cons:
- Major pre-existing issues weren't disclosed - Unresponsive management -- unless it's about collecting rent - Unit wasn't clean when rented
These are just not good people right now, I'm sorry to say. I hope they can improve in the future.
Advice to owner:
Treat others as you would prefer to be treated

Terrible Building Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to subway, beautiful neighborhood with tree lined blocks. Apartments are big. Elevators functional. Pet friendly. Digital buzzer. Super onsite.
Cons:
Multiple ceiling leaks; slow to non-existent repairs. Older apartment units are poorly maintained. Super great at cleaning but not very helpful otherwise. No hot water for days at a time, and when it is available the pressure is very, very low.
Several instances of mice-no idea how they are getting in. Roaches as well, even though the spray monthly.
Advice to owner:
If you’d like to keep good tenants-do right by them!

Unresponsive landlords
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location. Good neighborhood
Cons:
Poor heating - prepare to freeze if the temp outside drops below 65. Leaky roof. Unresponsive landlord. Poor water pressure/heat
