I finally have enough
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building location is nice, close to the park, there is an outdoor pool.
Cons:
Thin floors and walls. The owner does nothing to improve the noise level that is coming from the apartments above. This building needs a major renovation. It is impossible to wash the windows. They are old and heavy. The building has crooked walls, cracked paint, dirty carpet, stinky insinerator rooms.
Advice to owner:
It is time to renovate!

Thin floors and walls
Former Tenant
Pros:
My apartment is really spacious and the rent is very reasonable. Tree lined block in a very good neighborhood.
Cons:
You can seriously hear everything in your neighbors apartments. Not to mention my upstairs neighbor is one of the most inconsiderate people I have ever encountered. I have complained to management numerous times but they have made empty promises and haven’t really addressed the issue with my neighbors. Also, it’s evident that the floors and walls are poorly insulated. You can literally hear conversations clearly from all sides. Additionally, there are only four washers for a building that has at least 50 apartments and most times they are inoperable. There’s also the occasional pest in the halls ways and elevator, but I think that’s mostly due to neighbors that don’t value cleanliness. Like my neighbors are always leaving garbage outside of the trash shoot because they are too lazy to put it down the shoot. Naturally, it attracts pests.
Advice to owner:
Ensure that all neighbors have carpeting to buffer the noise and enforce the rules. I am entitled to quiet and peaceful enjoyment and that cannot happen when neighbors are blasting music at all times of night or stomping around without consideration to their neighbors.
