Mold, Absent Landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Inexpensive, elevator, close to laundry
Cons:
Landlord dismissed my concerns that there was mold in my unit caused by a leak from the roof that they never fixed. The mold made me sick and I had to leave.
Advice to owner:
Integrity.

When raining - windows will always leak
Former Tenant
Pros:
The hallways are wide. There's a rooftop to go to.
Cons:
Parties and noises all through the weeknights. Very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer because there is no insulation. Wooden floors are rotted. Tons of ants come out of the wooden floors and baseboards, ants and spiders come in from the ceiling holes and windows. Every time it rains, heavy water leaks from the window and window ceiling area. Water stains on the ceiling means water leaking from the roof.
Advice to owner:
Repair the roof, windows, floors, and other necessary repairs in the apartment

Irresponsible ownership was biggest fault
Former Tenant
Pros:
High ceilings Loft feel Lots of freedom to adjust apartment
Cons:
-George the owner was not responsive to act on issues - sometimes we had to take care of some repairs ourselves -Middle garbage recycling area constantly filled with flies -We have skylights and there were constant rangers on the roof, with drunk people hanging around the skylights being load. At times, people even brought subwoofers and blasted them until 4 am.
Advice to owner:
-Actually follow up with repairs -Control parties on roof -Better cleaning
