Big space and great neighbors with some small challenges
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to the 2/5, 15 min walk to prospect park, right next to wingate park as well, quiet area (near the hospital so occasionally sirens but less than we expected), pet friendly, super is responsive and kind
Cons:
We have not had cooking gas available due to an issue with management and con Edison regarding a previous tenant. Was told by management to just “keep calling and someone will fix it eventually”—they did not. We use an induction cooktop now, to our knowledge this has only affected our unit. Near the dept of sanitation hub and there’s always some litter on the street corners and the garbage trucks park long New York Ave
Advice to owner:
Better communication about non emergent maintenance issues

Awesome space, Landlords from Hell
Former Tenant
Pros:
Huge space, plenty of sunlight.
Cons:
Landlords refused to turn on heat or fix anything. We had no heat until December/January. Landlords also lied at every point of the process. We called 3 months before our lease was up to ask what the process was for not continuing and they kept avoiding us. At the end of the lease, they took our deposits because we didn't give them enough notice. Tried to extort us for extra month's rent.
Advice to owner:
Treat your tenants like humans not cash grabs and they will stay for longer.
