Bedbugs and Gas Leaks
Former Tenant
Pros:
The unit was fairly big and had a deck/balcony. Neighbors were friendly (although incredibly loud)
Cons:
-Got bedbugs from the unit below due to a hole between the apartments. Landlord didn’t inform me prior to moving in and refused to pay for removal, so I moved out
-The second day after I moved in I noticed a gas smell. I called the super and he told me he would come LATER IN THE WEEK to check. I asked him to come earlier and he refused. He came and didn’t check anything and said I was overthinking it. I got a plumber in a while later to check and we’d had a gas leak for at least 6 days that was clearly ignored by the super/owner
-Neighbors in the building next door were constantly blasting music our front (loud enough for the street to hear) and when they weren’t, they had christmas decorations that played christmas music. Neighbors also had multiple cats that would climb onto our balcony.
-Shower would flood and when I asked the super to check it out he said it was because there was hair in the tub, when it was actually due to a larger blockage further in the pipe
Advice to owner:
Get your shit together. Hope no one else gets bedbugs from you!
