RENTERS PLEASE BEWARE
Former Tenant
Pros:
The cost of the apartment is cheap for the area and it's a beautiful block, but would rather pay more for better management and maintenance.
Cons:
Let the green carpeting speak for itself as to how this apartment is being maintained. The landlord does the bare minimum to keep the property running properly, which meant me and my roommate having to deal with a 6-month+ mouse infestation, leaking ceilings, dirty/moldy carpeting, bug infestations, and more. At one point we had 28 mice in our home and a rat crawling in the walls and management did not help us. The front of the building is also constantly covered in garbage and the weeds are overgrown which means a ton of rats when you try to throw out the trash. We recommend paying slightly more for management that hears your concerns and responds appropriately. We are now in an apartment with great management and it makes a huge difference.
Advice to owner:
Respond appropriately to tenants concerns when matters of safety and health are concerned.
